Two Young Boys Found Dead in Dagenham – Shocking Double Tragedy
Emergency services rushed to a house on Cornwallis Road, Dagenham, at around 2pm on Friday, 16 December, after the bodies of two young boys were discovered.
Tragic Scene Unfolds
Officers and one ambulance crew attended the scene, where they found a two-year-old boy and a five-year-old boy. Both were sadly pronounced dead at the property.
A post-mortem and formal identification are set to take place as part of the ongoing investigation.
Two Arrested as Police Probe Deaths
A woman was arrested shortly after police responded to a nearby disturbance. A man was also detained close to the scene. Both remain in custody. Police confirm the man and woman were known to the children.
Police Appeal for Information
Detective Inspector Sean Treweek of the Met’s East Area BCU said: “This is clearly an extremely distressing incident with many unanswered questions, however at this very early stage, nobody else is sought in connection with the deaths.
I want to thank local people for the assistance they have given officers as they begin their investigation along with partner agencies to establish the full circumstances of these two tragic deaths. Additional officers will be in the area, and anyone with information or concerns should speak to them.”
