Wimbledon Village Horror: Two Men Attacked in Brutal Random Assault

Police were called to High Street Mews in Wimbledon Village at 2.25pm on Sunday, 8 March after two men in their 20s were brutally attacked by a gang of unknown assailants.

One Victim Left Fighting for Life

One of the men remains in hospital with serious head injuries, expected to stay for weeks. The other has been discharged after treatment.

Police Hunt Four Suspects Caught on CCTV

Local CID officers have released CCTV images of two men and two women seen at the scene. They want to speak to these individuals to crack the case.

“The victims were punched and kicked to the floor in a shocking, unprovoked attack while walking home,” said Acting Detective Sergeant Simon Monga. “Nothing was stolen, so this may be mistaken identity. We urge anyone who recognises these people to come forward.”

No Arrests Yet – Police Plea for Info

The investigation is ongoing, with no arrests made. Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101 or tweet @MetCC quoting CAD 880/08Mar. Anonymous tips can also be submitted.
