Masked Gang Terrorises 80s Man in Home Invasion Nightmare
Gloucestershire Police are hunting five masked thugs who broke into an elderly man’s home in Wotton-under-Edge last Thursday night. The terrifying raid happened around 8pm on October 5, when the gang forced their way through a side door and confronted the victim inside.
Elderly Victim Threatened, Shaken but Unharmed
The victim, a man in his late 80s, endured threats and intimidation but thankfully escaped without physical injuries. Still, the traumatic ordeal has left him deeply shaken.
PC Samuel Hall said: “This was a really horrible incident with a man aged in his late 80s being threatened in his own home. While we’re trying to piece together what happened and who is responsible, we’re keen to hear from anyone who has spotted any suspicious activity in the area recently.”
Police Seek Dashcam and CCTV Footage
Detectives believe the gang arrived in one or more vehicles. They urge locals to check dashcam or CCTV footage between 7pm and 8.30pm on October 5 for anything unusual.
The robbers also stole a safe from the property. Officers hope its recovery could help crack the case.
