Tragic Crash Claims Lives of Mum and Daughter in Plymouth

The tragedy struck at around 9:45am on Sunday, March 24, on Victoria Road in St Budeaux. Destiny and little Linnea were hit by a vehicle in a devastating crash that shocked the local community.
Driver Arrested Over Deadly Crash
A 74-year-old Plymouth woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and driving while unfit due to drink or drugs. She remains in police custody as investigations continue.
“Very tragically, a young five-year-old child and a female have since died as a result of this collision,” said Sergeant Steve Hawkins of Devon and Cornwall Police.
Emergency Services Responded Swiftly
Police, fire crews, ambulance teams, and forensic investigators rushed to the scene. Air ambulances were spotted landing nearby, underscoring the seriousness of the crash.
Devon and Cornwall Police are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage to come forward. Witnesses can call 101 quoting incident number 240 of March 24.
