Man in His 60s Rushed to Hospital After Tottenham Stabbing
A man in his 60s was stabbed multiple times in Tottenham on Thursday evening, sparking a rapid emergency response and a police arrest.
Emergency Response at Cooperage Close
Just after 7pm on 29 May, Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service were called to Cooperage Close, N17, following reports of a stabbing. London’s Air Ambulance also responded to the scene.
Officers found the 60-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds. Paramedics treated him at the scene before rushing him by road to a major trauma centre. Thankfully, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
Suspect Arrested on GBH Charges
A 66-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and remains in police custody as investigations continue.
Statement from London Ambulance Service
“We were called at 6.58pm on 29 May to reports of a stabbing in Cooperage Close, Tottenham. We dispatched several resources including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, and London’s Air Ambulance. The patient received treatment at the scene before being taken to a major trauma centre.”
Police Appeal for Witnesses

Investigation Underway
Forensic teams sealed off the scene late into Thursday night, working to uncover how the attack happened and if the victim and suspect knew each other. Police say there is no wider threat to the public, despite growing community concerns about knife crime in North London.
