Tragic Death in Little Clacton: Dean Clark Killed in Late-Night Collision
Essex Police have provisionally identified the man who died in a crash in Little Clacton last night as 41-year-old Dean Clark. Dean, a local resident, was fatally injured after colliding with a van on The Street just before 11pm.
Van Flees Scene After Crash Following Reported Fight
Police say there was a fight nearby before the collision. The van involved sped off, leaving Dean at the scene. A 41-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
Police Investigate, Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Truss of the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate said: “Our investigation is in its early stages but we’re making good progress. Dean and the suspect knew each other, and thankfully no one else was hurt.”
He added: “We’ve located a vehicle matching the description of the one involved. Officers will be in the area throughout the day as enquiries continue.”
