Motorbike Madness on A27: Police Air Chase Ends in Arrest
At around 4.15pm on Friday 28 June, Brighton police got a tip-off from the National Police Air Service (NPAS) chopper about a reckless biker tearing through town.
Helicopter Pursuit Over Brighton
The motorcyclist sped west along the busy A27 towards Lancing before doing a U-turn and heading back east. The NPAS crew kept him in their sights the whole time, feeding live updates to Sussex Police on the ground.
Stop Stick Stops Reckless Rider
Officers sprung into action and used a Stop Stick device near Hoe Court to safely bring the bike to a halt. Fortunately, no one was hurt, and the bike only suffered minor damage.
Man Arrested Over Dangerous Driving
A 47-year-old Brighton man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, and riding without a valid licence. He remains in custody as investigations continue.
