Man stabbed to death in Leyton street horror

A murder probe is underway after a young man was fatally stabbed in broad daylight in Leyton.

Fatal stabbing shock in Leyton

Police rushed to North Birkbeck Road, E11 at 4.26pm on Wednesday, March 6 following reports of a stabbing. Emergency services including London Ambulance and Air Ambulance found the victim – believed to be in his mid-twenties – with knife wounds.

Tragically, he was declared dead at the scene at 5.10pm.

Investigation ongoing, no arrests yet

Officers are notifying the victim’s next of kin. No suspects have been arrested so far, but a major crime scene remains in place as detectives continue their enquiries.

The Homicide and Major Crime Command are leading the investigation and have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

Police urge anyone with information to call 101 quoting CAD 5145/6 March or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

A post-mortem examination will be carried out soon to formally identify the victim and establish the cause of death.
