NatWest and Royal Bank of Scotland customers have been hit hard after a major system crash on Wednesday evening. Both banks’ mobile apps and online banking went haywire, leaving users unable to withdraw cash or make card payments across the globe.
Apps Down, Customers Furious
Hundreds flooded Twitter with complaints as intermittent issues rocked NatWest and RBS services throughout the day. Customers faced frustration as their money seemed locked away with no clear fix in sight.
Banks Scramble to Fix the Mess
NatWest posted on Twitter: “Our Online Banking, mobile app and Bankline are currently facing intermittent problems. We’re working hard getting them back up and running smoothly for you.”
RBS, NatWest’s parent company, reassured customers it was urgently working to resolve the fault. They urged anyone needing urgent help to get in touch immediately.
