Tragic Crash on Ashbourne Road Claims One Life

Paramedics rushed to a serious two-car crash on Ashbourne Road, Winkhill at 6.39pm. The emergency response included two ambulances, two paramedic officers, a BASICS emergency doctor, and the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car from Tatenhill.

One Dead, Two Injured in Horror Smash

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman revealed the grim details: “On arrival, crews found three patients across both vehicles. The driver of the first car was trapped and had to be cut free by the emergency service. Despite efforts from ambulance staff, he was in critical condition and sadly died at the scene.”

Woman and Teen Taken to Hospital with Injuries

The two passengers in the second car – a woman and a teenage boy – suffered non-life-threatening injuries. They were treated by paramedics at the scene before being rushed to Royal Stoke University Hospital for further checks.
