Tragic Discovery: Newborn Twins Found Dead in Chicago Childcare Centre

Heartbreak hit Chicago’s Streeterville neighbourhood after two newborn girls were found lifeless inside a bathroom at a childcare centre. Police were called to the 400 block of East Ontario Street just before 7pm following an emergency call from paramedics.

Witness Finds Babies Unresponsive

A witness at the scene made the grim discovery of the two female newborns, who were unresponsive. Both were rushed to Lurie Children’s Hospital, but despite frantic efforts, medical staff could not save them. The twins were officially pronounced dead.

Childcare Centre Issues Rare Statement

Northwestern Medicine, linked to the incident through its childcare facility at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, confirmed the emergency involved a daycare employee. They stressed none of the children enrolled at the daycare were harmed or affected by the tragedy.

Investigation Underway — No Arrests Yet

Police confirmed no arrests have been made. Detectives experienced in such cases are probing the heartbreaking circumstances surrounding the deaths of the newborn twins. The community remains in shock as the investigation continues.
