Coca-Cola Zero Sugar Christmas Multipacks Recalled Over Mislabelled Cans
Coca-Cola is urgently recalling a limited batch of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar multipacks wrapped in Christmas cardboard. Some packs have been wrongly boxed and may contain Coca-Cola Original Taste instead – a worry for those watching their sugar intake.
What’s Happening?
A Coca-Cola spokesperson revealed: “A small number of Coca‑Cola Zero Sugar 24 x 330ml multipacks with Christmas cardboard could contain cans of Coca‑Cola Original Taste. The quality of the drink itself is not affected.”
The mix-up means people expecting a sugar-free option could accidentally drink the original, full-sugar version, which poses a risk for those managing sugar consumption.
What To Do If You’ve Got One
- If you open a Coca-Cola Zero Sugar multipack and spot Original Taste cans inside, call Coca-Cola directly on 0800 22 77 11 for assistance.
- Customer service is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
The affected packs carry Best Before End dates of 31 October 2023 or 30 November 2023.
Clear and Concerned
Coca-Cola stressed: “No other Coca‑Cola products are affected by this issue. The safety and quality of our products is of paramount importance. We are sorry that on this occasion a small number of our products have not met our required standards.”
Shoppers are urged to check their festive multipacks carefully to avoid any unwanted sugary surprises this Christmas.
