Drunk driver kicks cop in Box after being stopped on A4
Maria Giblen-Price’s wild ride ends in court
Maria Giblen-Price, 31, from Mill Lane, Box, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen for analysis and assaulting a police officer last week.
Speeding and smell of booze sparks crackdown
On January 17, officers patrolling the A4 spotted Giblen-Price’s black Mitsubishi Colt speeding away from a local pub. Suspecting drink driving, cops stopped her and requested a roadside breath test.
She failed the test and was arrested, but then lost her temper, kicking an officer in the leg.
Custody chaos and punishment
In custody, Giblen-Price refused to provide a second sample. She was charged with both offences.
Besides a 12-month driving ban, the court slapped her with a £615 fine, a £246 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and £50 in compensation.
