A 16-year-old boy has tragically died following a reported “medical episode” at Barry Island Pleasure Park, prompting a police investigation and the arrest of a 15-year-old boy on suspicion of assault.
Detectives are urging anyone who was in the park at the time to submit mobile phone footage or information that could assist the investigation.

A spokesperson for Barry Island Pleasure Park confirmed the tragic event and expressed condolences:
“Very sad news yesterday. All of our team did their best to assist the emergency services. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this very sad time.”
Despite the incident, the park reopened at 11 AM the following morning.
