A savage abuser who strangled and headbutted his ex has finally been locked up for good.
Seven Weeks of Terror
Matthew Bradley, 41, unleashed a violent rampage during a brutal seven-week relationship from September to October 2025. He repeatedly punched and headbutted his victim, even choking her in a horrifying attack.
- He barred her from going home
- Stalked her by lurking outside her address
Courts Tried to Stop Him – He Defied Orders
Bradley was hit with a Domestic Violence Protection Order on 15 October, banning any contact and forbidding him from returning to his victim’s home. He ignored the court order and kept harassing her.
A vigilant witness tipped off Nottinghamshire Police, leading to Bradley’s re-arrest.
Four Years Behind Bars & a Decade on the Hook
At first, Bradley denied all charges. But he later pleaded guilty to controlling and coercive behaviour, intentional suffocation, assault causing actual bodily harm, plus multiple assaults by beating.
He’s now facing four years in prison and a 10-year restraining order.
