Heroic Rescue by Fire Crews in Early Morning Blaze on Manor Road, Erith

In a dramatic early morning operation, fire teams from the London Fire Brigade successfully rescued a family from a blaze on Manor Road in Erith.

The incident, which began just after 4 am, prompted an urgent response from numerous fire appliances.

Supported by officers from the Metropolitan Police and Hazardous Area Response Teams (HART) from the London Ambulance Service, the emergency teams arrived to find smoke billowing from a property.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, but initial reports indicated significant smoke emerging from the property. Fire crews, equipped with breathing apparatus, courageously entered the building and conducted a thorough search. They successfully extricated a family comprising two adults and two children.

The rescued family received immediate on-site medical treatment from paramedics and has since been transported to the hospital for further checks. Their current condition, while not specified, is being closely monitored.

In the wake of this rescue operation, Manor Road remains closed in both directions due to the presence of emergency service vehicles. Motorists are being advised to seek alternative routes to avoid the area and allow emergency operations to continue unhindered.
