Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man in his 20s was repeatedly stabbed during a violent attack in Park Grove, Newham, earlier this month.
The Metropolitan Police were called at 9.48pm on Wednesday, 7 May to reports of a stabbing in E15, near the Chadd Green Estate. Officers arrived at the scene just three minutes later and discovered the victim suffering from multiple stab wounds.
He was rushed to hospital by London Ambulance Service and remained there for two weeks with serious injuries. He is now recovering, but the investigation remains ongoing.
Motive Unknown, Attack Believed to Be Random
Detective Constable Richard Brunning, from the North East Basic Command Unit, is leading the investigation.
“This is a complex and serious incident. We are keeping an open mind regarding motive, but we do not believe the victim knew his attackers,” he said.
“The level of violence used was shocking, and we are working tirelessly to identify those responsible.”
Suspects Linked to White BMW X1
Police believe the suspects were black, tall, and slim, and may have fled in a white BMW X1. Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the vehicle or captured footage near the time of the attack.
“If you were in the Chadd Green estate area that evening or saw anything suspicious, please come forward. Even small details could help us,” DC Brunning added.
