Latest Arrests Shake Up Case
- A 31-year-old man was hauled in on Tuesday, 29 September, over suspicion of murder. After questioning, he was released without charge.
- The next day, a 30-year-old man was arrested for murder and perverting the course of justice. He is still in custody at a west London police station.
Case Background
Loeike Guei, 23, from Thornton Heath, was discovered dead on Commonside East, Mitcham, on Thursday, 17 September. The brutal killing sparked a full-scale homicide inquiry led by Specialist Crime detectives.
So far, two men have been charged and appeared in court over Loeike’s murder. Police insist the investigation remains active and ongoing.
