16-Year-Old Dies in Oval Place Attack

Tragedy struck in south west London late Monday night. Police were called to Oval Place, SW8, at around 11.45pm on 5 July after reports of a stabbing.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene, but 16-year-old Keane was sadly pronounced dead there and then.

His devastated family are now being supported by specially trained officers.

Man Arrested and Released on Bail

A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder on Thursday, 8 July. However, he was later released on bail, with a court date set for August.

He remains in custody at a south west London police station as the investigation continues.

The Met’s Specialist Crime Command is leading the probe and desperately wants anyone with information to speak up.
