Man Charged Over 2019 Knightsbridge Stabbing Murder
A 22-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Mohammed Al-Araimi, who was fatally stabbed in Knightsbridge in December 2019.
Arseboon Dilbaro Arrested at Heathrow
Arseboon Dilbaro, of no fixed address, was charged on 14 July with murder, grievous bodily harm with intent, attempted robbery, and threatening someone with a blade in public.
Dilbaro was arrested shortly after 1pm on the same day at Heathrow Airport after arriving on a flight from Egypt. He is set to appear in custody at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 15 July.
Another Man Already Charged Over the Knife Attack
A second suspect, Badir Rahim Alnazi, 24, also with no fixed address, was charged earlier this year on 9 January. He faces charges of murder, attempted robbery, and possession of a bladed article.
Alnazi appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court and was remanded in custody pending an Old Bailey hearing. His next court date is yet to be confirmed.
The Fatal Night in Basil Street
Mohammed Al-Araimi, 20, was stabbed to death around 11.55pm on 5 December 2019 in Basil Street, SW3.
A 20-year-old friend of Mohammed was also injured during the attack and hospitalised but has since been discharged.
