Knife-Wielding Burglar Jailed After Spate of Andover Break-Ins
An 18-year-old man has been remanded in custody following a string of burglaries in Andover. Tarik Oliveira, from London, faced Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court today charged with multiple burglary offences.
Five Burglaries and Attempted Break-In
Oliveira stands accused of five counts of dwelling burglary and one count of attempted burglary. The incidents all took place in Andover back in September 2016.
Knife Used in Four Burglaries
He faces four additional charges of aggravated burglary after carrying a knife during those break-ins. The weapon raised the stakes, turning routine burglaries into serious crimes.
Next Court Date Set
After the hearing, Oliveira was remanded in custody. He is due to appear at Winchester Crown Court on January 25 for further proceedings.
