Pregnant Mum-of-Two Found Dead in Donaghadee: Man Charged with Murder

A 28-year-old man has been charged with murder and child destruction after the tragic death of 27-year-old Sarah Montgomery, a pregnant mother-of-two. Sarah was discovered lifeless at a home on Elmfield Walk in Donaghadee, County Down.

Emergency Response Ends in Tragedy

Emergency services rushed to the scene around 2:15pm on Saturday, June 28. Despite desperate efforts from paramedics and passersby, Sarah was pronounced dead at the property.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) confirmed the man’s arrest and charging, with him set to appear at Newtownards Magistrates’ Court this Wednesday.

Second Arrest Made and Released

A 42-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender but has since been released without charge, police said.
