Late-Night Smash and Grab Attempt at Woburn Avenue Co-op
A daring raid unfolded at 12.45am on Tuesday, 21 March, when thugs smashed the front of the Co-op store on Woburn Avenue. The culprits tried – and failed – to rip out the store’s ATM.
Getaway Cars: Land Rover and Range Rover Involved
Three or four men used two vehicles during the raid. They fled the scene in a Land Rover Discovery, leaving behind a black Range Rover. Luckily, nothing was stolen from inside the shop.
Police Hunt Witnesses and Dash Cam Footage
Officers have been at the scene today gathering evidence and urgently want to hear from anyone who saw what happened. If you were driving in the Woburn Avenue area around that time and have dash cam footage, it could be crucial.
Police are also asking for any CCTV or doorbell camera footage showing the vehicles or suspects involved.
