999 Call as Ex-Boyfriend Chases Woman in His Car
On June 24, 2025, police rushed to Addington Road, Irthlingborough following a panicked 999 call. The victim said her ex, Aaron Matthew Wright, 39, tried to run her down after stalking her through the streets. The pair had argued earlier, sparking the terrifying chase.

Camera footage revealed Wright driving onto the pavement, blocking the victim’s way, before reversing his car directly at her. Incredibly, the woman escaped without a scratch.
Dark History of Domestic Abuse Uncovered
- Police found two previous assaults in April 2025.
- Wright bit the woman’s hand during one attack.
- On another occasion, he strangled her, cutting off her breathing.
He was arrested and charged with criminal damage, intentional strangulation, dangerous driving, assault, and controlling and coercive behaviour spanning their 18-month relationship.
Police described Wright’s extreme jealousy as controlling every aspect of the victim’s life.
