Man Arrested Over Winchester Murder of Carl Scott

Police have made a breakthrough in the murder of 58-year-old Carl Scott from Winchester. A man was arrested on suspicion of murder on the evening of Friday, March 24, and is currently being held for questioning.

Cops Called to Shocking Discovery

Officers were called to a house in Birch Court, off Thurmond Crescent, Winchester, at 5.31pm on Wednesday, March 22, after a member of the public found Carl Scott’s body.

Investigation in Early Stages

Detective Chief Inspector Dave Morgan said:

“We are still in the early stages of this investigation and are exploring various leads to uncover exactly what happened.

“We are focusing on piecing together Mr Scott’s lifestyle and movements.

“I urge anyone who knew Mr Scott or had contact with him since February 1 this year to get in touch. Your information could prove vital.”

“A cordon will remain at the address as we continue our inquiries. Thanks to local residents for their patience.”
