Deliveroo Rider Killed in Hit-and-Run: Met Launches Manhunt

The Metropolitan Police are hunting a driver linked to a fatal hit-and-run that claimed the life of a Deliveroo rider. The tragedy struck on the evening of Thursday, May 11, 2023, at around 8:30 PM, at the busy junction of Leigh Court Road, Valley Road, and Knollys Road, SW16.

Emergency Services Rush to Scene

Officers arrived quickly alongside London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance. Despite their efforts, the motorcyclist – a man in his 40s – was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police Seek Witnesses and Fleeing Suspects

The victim’s identity is believed to be known, with next of kin already informed. Meanwhile, police are working hard to track down several individuals reported to have fled on foot after the crash.

So far, no arrests have been made as enquiries continue into the shocking incident.
