Range Rover Snatched in Under a Minute Outside East Ham Home
Lightning-Fast Theft Caught on CCTV
A sleek black Range Rover was stolen in a brazen, lightning-speed raid on Caledon Road, East Ham. The shock heist unfolded in less than 60 seconds on the evening of 24 March 2025, and was fully caught on the homeowner’s CCTV.
Two hooded culprits struck around 5pm. One acted as lookout while the other bypassed the vehicle’s security system with alarming ease. They used a signal booster device to intercept the key fob signal from inside the house—a technique known as a relay attack. Within moments, they jumped in and sped off, leaving the stunned owner helpless.
Owner Speaks Out: “Absolutely Gutted”
“It all happened so fast. One minute the car was there, and the next, it was gone. It’s terrifying to think how easily they did it. I’ve never felt so helpless.”
The anonymous owner revealed the Range Rover was his pride and joy. Despite investing in extra security, the thieves still managed to pull off the theft.

Relay Attacks on the Rise – How to Protect Your Wheels
Relay attacks are an increasingly popular method for thieves to steal keyless cars in London. Crooks use devices to pick up signals from key fobs inside homes, unlocking and starting vehicles in seconds.
Experts advise:
- Storing key fobs in a Faraday pouch or metal box to block signals
- Using a steering wheel lock
- Parking in well-lit areas or garages
- Installing tracker devices on high-value cars
- Keeping visible CCTV to deter thieves
