A second suspect has been hit with charges for helping ex-soldier Daniel Khalife pull off a daring escape from HMP Wandsworth in September 2023.
Adeel Khan Nabbed for Assisting Khalife

How Khalife Made His Great Escape
Daniel Khalife, a former British soldier, outran jail by hitching a ride under a food delivery truck at Wandsworth Prison. The brazen move sparked a massive nationwide manhunt.
He was finally caught four days later, hiding on a canal towpath in west London.
First Arrest Made: Imran Chowdhury
- Earlier this month, Imran Chowdhury, 25, from Chingford, east London, was also charged with helping Khalife.
- He appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 7 January and pleaded not guilty.
Investigation Rolls On
The police are still digging into how Khalife managed to escape and the network behind his getaway.
More arrests and court updates are expected as this high-profile case unfolds.
