Woman Slashed at London’s Speakers’ Corner
Police rushed to Speakers’ Corner, W1, after the London Ambulance Service reported an assault at 3.34pm on Sunday, 25 July.
Officers found a 39-year-old woman with a slash wound to her head. She was treated at the scene before being whisked off to a central London hospital. Thankfully, she has since been discharged and her injuries are not life-threatening.
Met’s Counter Terror Command Takes Over Investigation
The Met’s SO15 Counter Terrorism Command is now leading the probe. However, authorities say the attack is not currently being treated as terrorism-related. They are keeping an open mind as enquiries continue.
Police Seek Witnesses With Phone Footage
Several bystanders caught the incident on their mobiles. Police urge anyone who filmed the event or witnessed it to come forward.
