High-Speed Chase Ends in Arrests After Snodland Burglary
Two men have been charged following a dramatic high-speed police chase on the A2 near Gravesend. The pursuit came after a burglary in Snodland on Tuesday, August 27, 2024.
Burglary Leads to Stolen Mercedes
It all kicked off in the early hours when a Snodland resident reported a break-in. The culprits allegedly swiped the keys from inside the property and made off with a Mercedes.
Police Spot Stolen Car, Chase Ensues
At around 5:20 AM, officers in an unmarked vehicle spotted the stolen Mercedes on the A2. Despite flashing blue lights and sirens, the driver sped off towards London, driving dangerously.
Police Dog Helps Stop Dangerous Driver
The chase ended when patrol officers, aided by a police dog, successfully stopped the vehicle. Both occupants were arrested on the spot.
Suspects Charged and Remanded
- Kion Carter-Adams, 20, of Leytonstone
- Joel Adekunle of South Woodford
Both men have been charged with burglary and theft. Carter-Adams also faces dangerous driving charges. They appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on August 28 and were remanded into custody. Their case is now headed for Maidstone Crown Court, with a hearing date yet to be set.
