Two Teens Charged with Murder Over New Cross Stabbing
Two teenagers have been charged with murder after a man died following a stabbing in New Cross, London. At Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 19-year-old Sofian Alliche from Holborn and an unnamed 17-year-old appeared over the fatal attack on Antonios Antoniadis.
Stabbing at Florence Terrace Leaves Man Dead
The stabbing happened at around 9:20 AM on July 7 on Florence Terrace. Officers responded quickly after reports of an assault. Antonios, in his late 20s, was rushed to hospital with critical injuries but sadly died on July 21. The post-mortem confirmed his death came from multiple organ failure caused by a stab wound to the thigh.
Police Hunt Third Suspect With Vital Information
The Metropolitan Police have also issued a public appeal for 19-year-old Joshua McCorquodale, believed to have key details about the case. His photo has been circulated, and the force urges anyone with information to call 999, quoting Operation Botany.
“We are concerned for his welfare and believe he may have sustained injuries,” said Detective Chief Inspector Kate Blackburn, who is leading the investigation. She encouraged witnesses to come forward anonymously through Crimestoppers if preferred.
Charged Teens Remanded, Next Court Date Set
Alliche and the younger suspect have been remanded in custody and will next appear at the Old Bailey on Monday, July 29. Police continue their investigation to uncover the full circumstances surrounding the fatal stabbing.
