Red-Haired Suspect Caught on CCTV in Shocking Dublin Bus Attack
A man in his 30s with fiery red hair and a beard is the prime suspect in a brutal assault on a Dublin bus. CCTV footage shows him wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans as he boarded the S8 bus at Tallaght’s Belgard Square West around 8:30 AM, authorities reveal.
How the Attack Unfolded
Garda Inspector Pat Duggan, leading the investigation, laid out the chilling timeline. The suspect tapped his Leap card and headed to the back of the bus bound for Dun Laoghaire. Clear CCTV footage captured his face, aiding the hunt.
About 45 minutes in, near Rathfarnham’s Grange Road, the victim got on at Eden Avenue. The attacker wasted no time, throwing her bag down the aisle before launching a violent assault while she sat opposite him.
Passengers Rush to Help as Suspect Flees
Other passengers tried to stop the attack, forcing the bus driver to slam on the brakes. But the suspect escaped on foot, disappearing through the Grange Court estate nearby.
