Burglary Blitz: Crook Nabbed After Raiding Vehicles, Homes and Businesses in Nottinghamshire
Two Cars and High-End Bikes Yanked in Spate of Break-Ins
Thieves struck hard across Nottinghamshire, stealing two vehicles from a business on Blenheim Industrial Estate, Bulwell. They also broke into a house on Webb Ellis Road, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, making off with a car and three pricey bicycles.
Another Home Targeted in Watnall Raid
Breaking and entering didn’t stop there. A separate forced entry at a house in Osbourne Close, Watnall, saw crooks snatch a handbag containing cash, a purse, and bank cards.
Dean Hearn Jailed for Over Three Years
Dean Hearn, 42, of Wayford Walk, Bulwell, pleaded guilty to three burglaries and one theft at Nottingham Crown Court. He was locked up for three years and four months for crimes committed between September and October 2017.
Hearn also received a 12-month sentence, served concurrently, for breaching a suspended sentence order.
Police Praise Teamwork in Snaring Burglar
“Hearn’s conviction and sentencing came as a result of a joint investigation involving detectives and force intelligence analysts who were able to interpret mobile phone data,” said Detective Sergeant Andrea Brown of Nottinghamshire Police.
“Burglary is an extremely upsetting crime for the victims whose homes and businesses are targeted. This series of offences had a big impact on a number of people and thankfully we have now brought Hearn to justice.
“Tackling and reducing burglary remains a priority for the force. We work tirelessly to prevent these crimes and reassure communities we’ll put suspects before the court as swiftly as possible.”
