Brothers Jailed for Sickening Child Sex Attacks
Kye Dunn, 23, and his brother Robbie Dunn, 21, have been sentenced for sexually abusing a child in their teens. The victim was in early secondary school when the attacks happened in December 2017.
Drugs, Alcohol and Brutal Assaults
Kye Dunn, then 19, gave the victim cannabis and alcohol before taking them to his Westbury Road home where he raped them. Afterward, he forced the victim into another room where Robbie, 17 at the time, sexually assaulted them while they were asleep.
Long Prison Terms for Dunn Brothers
- Kye Dunn pleaded guilty to rape and was handed 7½ years behind bars.
- Robbie Dunn admitted sexual assault and got 3½ years in custody.
- Robbie also received sentences for assault and affray committed while on bail in 2020.
Police Praise Victim’s Courage
“Kye and Robbie Dunn took advantage of a child who was much younger than them for their own sexual gratification, and put the victim through a terrible ordeal that will likely remain with them for the rest of their life,” said retired Detective Constable Helen Press. “The Dunns deserve to be behind bars for the offences they committed, and I hope the sentences imposed will be of some comfort to the victim. The victim was incredibly brave in speaking up, and I hope other young people targeted by sex offenders take confidence in this outcome.”
