Suspect Drenches Window in Flammable Liquid Before Fleeing

Detectives are on the lookout after a daring arson attack rocked an apartment block in Coalisland on Friday afternoon, 27 October. A figure clad entirely in black, wearing a balaclava, was seen pouring a flammable liquid onto an apartment window in the Platers Hill area before igniting it and fleeing the scene on foot.

Firefighters Race to Scene to Snuff Out Blaze

The police and Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service sprang into action, arriving quickly to tackle the flames. Thanks to their swift efforts, the fire was brought under control with only minor damage inside the unit. There were no injuries, and luckily, the apartment was empty during the attack. A full evacuation of the complex was avoided.
