Elderly Woman Hit by SUV in Bolton Hit-and-Run Horror
An 89-year-old woman was left seriously injured after being struck by a silver or grey SUV in Bolton on Saturday morning. The driver fled the scene, leaving the vulnerable pensioner needing urgent hospital care.
Crash at Busy Junction
The incident happened around 10:10am on 15 June 2024 at the junction of Moss Bank Way and Hill View Road. The woman was crossing the road when the vehicle smashed into her. She suffered fractures to her wrist and knee and was quickly treated by emergency services before being taken to hospital where she remains in stable condition.
Police Hunt Driver Who Fled Scene
Chief Inspector Michael Parker from the Roads Policing Unit called the incident “serious” and revealed police are reviewing CCTV footage to track down the hit-and-run driver.
“This is a serious incident involving a vulnerable member of our community. We are conducting a thorough investigation and reviewing CCTV footage to locate the driver of the silver or grey SUV that failed to stop after the collision.”
