Tragic Motorcycle Crash on Dorset’s A35 Claims Man’s Life
Dorset Police were called to a fatal single-vehicle crash involving a white Triumph motorcycle on the A35 Puddletown bypass near Tolpuddle at 2:17pm on Tuesday, 24 May 2022.
Man in His 50s Dies at the Scene
The motorcycle rider, a man in his 50s, sadly died at the scene. His family has been informed, and police have expressed their deepest condolences.
Road Closure and Police Appeal
The A35 was closed for several hours to allow emergency teams to manage the incident and investigate. It fully reopened shortly after 8pm.
Police Sergeant Geraint Butler of the traffic unit said:
“Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the man who very sadly died. An investigation is underway, and I’m appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
“I’m keen to hear from motorists who may have dashcam footage capturing the incident or events leading up to it. Finally, thank you to the public for their patience during the road closures, which were necessary for a thorough examination of the scene.”
