Harsh Crash Shuts Brookshill Both Ways
Brookshill in Harrow Weald is closed in both directions tonight after a serious multi-vehicle smash involving a school coach, a van, and five cars. The crash happened just after 3.40pm, sparking a massive emergency response.
Emergency Crews Battle Scene
Police, firefighters, and London Ambulance Service crews rushed to the chaotic scene. Bus route 258 is now disrupted due to the closure. Witnesses reported severe damage to multiple vehicles as emergency teams worked to free those trapped.
Four Hurt and Hospitalised
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson revealed:
“We were called at 3.42pm today (28 March) about a collision on Brookshill. We sent ambulance crews, an incident response officer, a clinical team manager, and a fast response paramedic. Three patients were treated at the scene, and a fourth on Oxhey Lane, before all were taken to hospital.”
The conditions of the injured remain unknown. It’s unclear if any children on the school coach were hurt.
Police Launch Full Probe
The Metropolitan Police have set up a full investigation into the crash. A large police cordon blocks the area while collision investigators scour the wreckage. Drivers are urged to avoid Brookshill as traffic is diverted.
Anyone who saw the smash or has dashcam footage is asked to come forward. Concerned parents should contact the school directly for updates on the children.
