Monstrous Paedophile Jailed for 20 Years Over Sick Child Abuse

Kenneth Clark, a vile predator, targeted children as young as three in a horrifying spree of abuse from 2016 to 2019. Using ‘pinky promises’ to silence at least two victims, Clark’s twisted control finally ended when one child bravely confided in a relative, prompting police action in January 2019.

Trial Reveals Devastating Impact on Victims

Clark, formerly of Chapman Avenue, maidstone/" title="Maidstone" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Maidstone, denied all charges, but the jury saw through his lies. He was convicted on a staggering 18 counts, including rape, attempted rape, assault by penetration, causing or enticing a child to engage in sexual activity, and making indecent images.

The court heard how Clark’s sickening abuse stripped the victims of their childhoods and shattered their families. Recorder Simon Stirling described the lifelong damage, highlighting victims’ struggles with nightmares, depression, and difficulties forming friendships and physical relationships.

Sentenced to 20 Years – Locked Up for Life

On Friday 18 March 2022, the 65-year-old was sentenced to 20 years behind bars, followed by an additional year on licence. Clark has also been slapped with a lifelong sexual harm prevention order and added indefinitely to the sex offenders register.

Detective Praises Victims’ Bravery

“Clark subjected his victims to depraved and sickening abuse, leaving incalculable damage on their young lives,” said Detective Constable Dan Williams, leading the investigation. “He is a dangerous, calculated, and callous sexual predator who tried to blame his victims and forced them to endure a harrowing trial.”

“Thanks to the tremendous bravery of these victims, justice has been served. Clark will serve a long time in prison and is no longer a threat to children.”
