Knife Scare in Ashford: Man Arrested After Early Morning Disturbance

Police arrested a 37-year-old man in Ashford after reports of a knife-related disturbance rocked the area in the early hours of Friday, November 22, 2024.

Chaos on Bybrook Road

At around 1 a.m., witnesses spotted a man brandishing a kitchen knife while causing a scene along Bybrook Road in Kennington. Officers rushed to the scene and quickly recovered the weapon.

Suspect Held in Custody

The man, from Devon, was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon. He remains in police custody as Kent Police continue their investigation into the incident.

“Officers acted swiftly to ensure the safety of the public, and we are currently conducting enquiries to understand the circumstances surrounding this incident,” said a Kent Police spokesperson.
