Desperate Hunt for Missing Saltdean Teen Owen Harding
A dramatic search took place this afternoon in Saltdean for missing teenager Owen Harding. Newhaven Coastguard joined forces with Sussex Police for a low-tide sweep of the rock groynes near the coast on Friday.
CCTV Footage Offers Possible Clue
Despite an extensive search, no trace of Owen has been found. Detective Inspector Mark Rosser revealed:
“We have viewed CCTV footage from a member of the public that we believe shows Owen. The footage features two people walking along the road, one of whom we think is Owen.”
The police are now urging anyone who recognises themselves in the footage to come forward immediately, as they could hold vital information.
Owen Missing for Over a Week
Owen has been missing for more than a week. Detective Rosser said the investigation is ongoing and all resources are being used locally. Authorities will also coordinate nationally if there is evidence he has left Sussex.
“We thank the public for their support but ask everyone to follow Government guidance and avoid unauthorised searches,” Rosser added.
