Tragic Crash on A34 Near East Ilsley Claims Young Man’s Life
Police are hunting for witnesses after a fatal smash on the A34 near East Ilsley last night.
At around 9.30pm on October 2, a grey Volkswagen Polo was heading south when it veered off the road just past the Abingdon Road exit and crashed into a fence.
The driver, a 27-year-old man, died at the scene. His family have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
PC Matt Bowden from the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit said: “We are appealing for any witnesses to this tragic incident to please come forward.”
He added: “If you were driving nearby at the time, please check your dash-cam footage. Even small clips could be crucial to our investigation.”
