A fatal crash rocked Lambeth Palace Road near Westminster Bridge on the evening of October 2, claiming the life of a man in tragic circumstances.
Deadly Collision Shuts Down Busy London Road
The smash happened at around 6.30pm, just as Londoners were heading home. Emergency services rushed the injured man to hospital, but he later died from his wounds.
Police Watchdog Opens Investigation
The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) was alerted by the Met Police and quickly dispatched investigators to the scene. A full inquiry into what caused the crash is now underway.
Witnesses Urged to Speak Out
“Our thoughts are with the man’s family, friends, and all those affected by his death. It’s important we establish all the circumstances surrounding this incident, and we are in the very early stages,” said IOPC director Emily Barry.
She added a plea for help: “The collision happened on a busy road in London in the early evening when people are likely to have been travelling. We would urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident or the moments leading up to it to come forward and report what they saw.”
