Woman Raped in Woods Near The Spinney
A terrifying attack took place around 9pm on Friday, 16 April, when a woman and a younger girl were approached by a man in the woods near The Spinney. The man struck up a conversation before brutally raping the woman.
Suspect Flees Towards Travelodge
The attacker then fled towards the Travelodge hotel on Goldington Road. Police describe him as a black male, about 6 feet tall, with braided hair. At the time, he was wearing a navy blue Adidas tracksuit.
Police Urge Locals to Help Catch Attacker
“We are taking this incident extremely seriously and wish to find this man as soon as possible,” said Detective Inspector Michelle Lack from Bedfordshire’s RASSO team. “This attack was extremely distressing for this young woman and her friend. Our specialist officers are supporting them fully.”
DI Lack added: “We want to hear from anyone who was in the area or who may have seen this man. We understand local residents will be concerned, and we are doing all we can to catch the culprit.”
