Children Attacked by Loose ‘XL Bully’ Dog at Kingston Park

Chaos erupted at Latchmere Recreation Ground in Kingston when an unleashed and unmuzzled “XL bully” dog attacked a group of children. Police were called to the scene after horrified witnesses reported the vicious incident.

Dog and Owner Flee Before Police Arrive

The attack happened around 11:30am on February 2 at Burns Road’s Latchmere Recreation Ground. Officers found the children with minor injuries, but the aggressive dog and its owner had already fled, making a swift catch impossible.

Community on Edge as Authorities Hunt Dangerous Dog

The unleashed dog, described as grey with tan markings, has sparked fear among local residents concerned about public safety. Police say the owner is a black male, 25-35 years old, last seen wearing a black tracksuit, black Canada Goose jacket with white fur hood, and black Nike trainers.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson urged anyone with information to step forward. Residents can call the non-emergency hotline on 101 quoting CAD 2864/2Feb or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Police Demand Responsible Pet Ownership

This frightening attack highlights the urgent need for dog owners to obey leash and muzzle laws to keep the community safe. Authorities vow to track down the dog and its owner, pledging to protect Kingston residents and visitors from further harm.
