Ten Cops Hurt by Corrosive Substance in Barnet Drugs Raid

Ten police officers were injured after being exposed to a suspected corrosive substance during a drugs raid in Barnet on Wednesday afternoon.

Drama Unfolds at Dale Close Industrial Estate

At around 1.50pm on 23 September, officers swooped on an industrial site in Dale Close as part of a targeted drugs operation. As they executed the warrant, the corrosive substance was thrown, leaving multiple officers hurt.

Hospitalised but Stable

All injured officers have been taken to hospital for treatment. Thankfully, none are in life-threatening condition. Their families are being informed as enquiries continue.

Suspects Also Hurt and Arrested

Several men were arrested on suspicion of drug offences and also suffered injuries from the substance. They too have been hospitalised but are stable.

The Met Police, London Ambulance Service, and Fire Brigade remain on scene as investigations press on. The Directorate of Professional Standards has been notified, as is standard procedure.
