Met Police Stay Visible as Covid Rules Ease in London
Since the pandemic began, Met officers have worked tirelessly to educate Londoners on ever-changing Covid regulations. The capital’s residents and businesses have made huge sacrifices, limiting contact with friends, families, and colleagues to help curb the virus.
Virus Still a Threat Despite Rules Easing
Though restrictions are easing, the virus hasn’t gone away. With infection rates climbing again, caution is key. Everyone must play their part to keep Covid under control.
Met Police Shift Focus, But Stay Present

Deputy Assistant Commissioner Praises Londoners, Warns of Ongoing Risks
“Since last March, we all had to make huge sacrifices to help save lives and I am hugely grateful to the vast majority of Londoners who have done the right thing and stuck to the rules,” said Deputy Assistant Commissioner Jane Connors.
“On some occasions, officers had to take enforcement action against those ignoring the rules and risking virus spread. Now, with restrictions easing, we all want life back, but the fight isn’t over.”
“We must keep acting responsibly by following government advice: get tested regularly and isolate if you have symptoms. The Met will continue to support communities and keep London safe as life returns to normal.”
