Another motorbike rider nabbed in Lambeth for immigration offences
A motorbike rider has been arrested in Lambeth after officers from the Metropolitan Police seized their bike. This marks the second vehicle seizure during the same police shift.
Rider handed to UK Border Force
Lambeth North-West Police confirmed the arrest on social media. The rider was detained and will now be passed to UK Border Force for further investigation.
“Second seizure of the shift and the rider has also been arrested for immigration offences and will now be handed over to @UKBorder to deal,” said Insp Watson on X (formerly Twitter).
Crackdown on illegal vehicles and immigration offences
Details about the rider’s identity or why the bike was stopped remain under wraps. This arrest is part of a wider Metropolitan Police campaign targeting illegal vehicles and immigration crimes across London.
The Met regularly teams up with UK Border Force and other agencies to root out immigration violations, often linked with traffic offences or other criminal acts.
Local praise for police action
Residents in Lambeth have welcomed the crackdown, complimenting police for their visible presence and quick enforcement. Social media users thanked officers for “keeping our streets safer.”
The Metropolitan Police and UK Border Force have yet to release further comments. The immigration status of the arrested rider remains under investigation.
