Schoolboy Lucky to Escape Serious Injury After Cranbrook Crash

A schoolboy was hit by a car at a busy Cranbrook junction but is “very fortunate” to have avoided serious injury. The accident happened just after 8.30am today at the corner of High Street and Stone Street, near Harpers and Hurlingham property consultants.

Passersby Rush to Help

Staff arriving to unlock their offices witnessed the collision and quickly sprang into action, giving first aid before police and paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service arrived.

“The boy has been very fortunate,”

said a witness. The youngster was taken to hospital as a precaution but is not believed to have suffered serious harm.

Police Issue Safety Reminder

Kent Police confirmed no arrests have been made. A spokeswoman said:

“They were called at 8:37am on 10 December to a collision involving a car and a child pedestrian in Stone Street, Cranbrook. The child was taken to hospital but is expected to be fine.”

Authorities urged all pedestrians to remember the Green Cross Code to stay safe on the streets.
