Manure Mayhem Hits London as Protesters Target Kensington and Victoria
Early Morning Dump in Kensington
At 6.40am, protesters dumped a load of manure outside a commercial property on Young Street, Kensington. They didn’t stop there — climbing scaffolding and hanging banners from the building’s exterior to make their point.
Police swooped, arresting five people under Section 148 of the Highways Act. Four of those face additional charges for suspected criminal damage.
Manure Threat Thwarted in Victoria
Just over an hour later, at 8am, a 54-year-old man tried to spill manure from a truck onto the pavement outside a business on Buckingham Palace Road, Victoria.
Had he succeeded, it would have caused chaos for workers and passersby. Luckily, police intervention stopped him in his tracks. He was arrested for offences under the Highways Act and suspicion of dangerous driving.
Police Brace for More Unrest
All six suspects remain in custody.
London police have ramped up their presence, fully prepared for further demonstrations set to unfold throughout the day.
